Wilma D. Walker

Wilma D. Walker, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.  She was born July 10, 1934 in Millbury, OH, the daughter of Carl and Nora (Swartzwalter) Geldin.  She was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School.   Wima married Richard Walker on October 17, 1953 at St. John’s Church and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2003.  She worked at Detroit Gasket as a quality parts inspector where she retired after many years of service.  Wilma was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns.  She loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Wilma is survived by her children, Michael Walker, Sylvania, OH, David (Laura) Walker, Temperance, MI, Kathleen Hotz, Port Clinton, OH; daughter-in-law, Pam Walker, Fremont, OH; siblings, Irene Fry and Ben Geldin both of Fremont, OH; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Walker; sons, Alan C. Walker and Steven R. Walker; son-in-law, Troy Hotz and daughter-in-law, Wendy Walker; siblings, Art Geldin and Carolyn Smith.

Visitation:  Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 11:00 until 1:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, with Pastor Matt Wheeler officiating.
