Willie “Jr” Brown

Willie “Jr” Brown, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 21, 2023.  He was born on March 13, 1934 in Alabama to Aaron Brown and Lottie (Jones) Brown.  Jr worked for Hetrick Signs for many years in Mississippi. He enjoyed watching baseball.

Jr is survived by the love of his life of forty years, Mary Alridge, Fremont, OH; stepchildren, Charolette Alridge, David (Joyce) Alridge, Lester Miller and William “Trooper” Alridge; siblings, Otis Perkins, of Arizona, Cheryl Moody, of Texas; grandchildren, Johnny, Keith, Eric, Pierrie, Kenny, Cenon, Tomekia, Cora, Chip, Angela, Jayla; sister-in-law, Katherine (John Lee) Jones.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Flossie Perkins; stepchildren, Luther Porter Jr; Curtis Alridge, Carolyn Morrisette; mother-in-law, Cora Phillips; brothers-in-law, Houston Willis, John Robert Powell, John Phillips, Charles Shelby; sister-in-law, Shirely Thomas and grandson, Michael Charles Thomas and grandfather; Columbus "Papa" Nickerson

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from Noon to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home following the visitation.
