William Scott

William Scott, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 15, 1951 in Fremont, OH the son William and Queen (Tiller) Scott, Sr. He married Constance Baumer on February 21, 1975 and she survives. Billy was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.  Billy received a degree from Terra State Community College in HVAC and was on the dean’s list.  He worked for WSOS and Bayside Comfort.  He also worked summers traveling and sold Wild Bill’s Root Beer with personalized mugs.

Billy served in the US Army from 1969 to1970 during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He loved spending time at the lake with his wife Connie. Billy enjoyed having cookouts and fishing with his family and friends. He loved to take care of his yard and always took pride in what he did.  Billy enjoyed golfing with his on Chad. He loved taking walks in the woods with his grandkids, Jioni, Zayla and Raekwon.  Billy loved the Worship Center of Fremont.  He was a prayer warrior and Armor Bearer for Pastor Brenda Moore.  His heart and goal was to fulfill the assignment that God had placed within his heart.

Billy is survived by his wife, Constance Scott, Fremont; children, Celeste (Brooks) Rollins, San Antonio, TX, Kiki (Travis) Williamson, Fostoria, OH, Chad (Julie) Scott, Devon Scott, Candice (McKinley) Jones all of Fremont, Tiffiany Crawford, Sandusky and Maurice (Alexa) Robinson, Tiffin;  grandchildren, Demetrius Brown Jr, Taylor Scott, Tuquinda Hatchet-Jones, Myka Scott, Alexis Brown, Jasmine Scott, Dantae Scott, Rakim Gadsden, Ariah Jones, Arianna Scott, RaKasia Gadsden, Ja’sani Crawford, Jioni Jones, Hayden Valle, Zayla Scott, Jeremiah Robinson, Raekwon Gadsden, Kamry; great-grandchildren, Harmonee Anderson, Melodee Sprott, Dontavious Sprott, Juliana Pocock, Zay’Lan Brown, Nathan Pocock Jr.; siblings, Bruce Scott, Fremont, OH, Richard (Sabrina) Scott, Chicago, IL, Beverly Simms, Glenda Scott, Miller Scott and Tina Scott, all of Fremont, OH, Jeremy (Hannah) Scott, Pueblo, CO; aunts, Ruby Tiller, Columbus, OH, Louise Tiller, Indianapolis, IN;

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Damon Scott; grandsons, Davon Scott and Rasheen Gadsden; brother, Jimmy Scott

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First United Church of Christ, 1500 Tiffin Rd., Fremont, OH.

Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church.

Burial:  Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
