William “Butch” Henry Wyss, 80, of Fremont, OH passed away May 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 25, 1933 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Seraphine and Goldie (Druyor) Wyss. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Goodrich.
Butch married the love of his life Earllene D. (McCumber) Wyss on October 24, 1953 in Port Clinton, OH and she survives. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 31 years until he retired in 1996. He had previously worked at the Erie Army Depot for 13 years.
Butch enjoyed going out to eat and being with his many friends at the Moose and Eagles. He also enjoyed many bus trips to the casinos. His greatest love was spending time with his lovely wife and family.
Butch is survived by his wife of sixty years Earllene Wyss, Fremont; sons, Bill (Kathy) Wyss, Tiffin, Mark (Diane) Wyss and Jeff Wyss both of Fremont; grandchildren, Michelle Wyss, Texas, Kimmy Wyss, Tiffin, Kevin Wyss, Fremont and Jennie (Jeremy) Liebelt, Columbus, OH; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one on the way; sisters, Madonna “Teeny” (Don) Bennett, Tiffin and Carol Hetrick, Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia O’Lynn and brother, Robert Wyss.
Private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
