Linda S. Wamsley, 67, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on February 8, 2016. She was born on February 15, 1948 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Edward and Janice L. (Manheim) Smeltzer. She received an Associates Degree from Terra Community College.
Linda was a Cook at Camp Runinmuck and enjoyed working the boat show every year. She enjoyed visiting her friends at the Copper Penny daily. Her favorite hobbies included traveling to Las Vegas and cooking. She was quite famous for her baked goods and BBQ sauce. Linda cherished time spent with her grandchildren, while continuing to pray daily for a great grandchild. She had the biggest heart of gold and would give you her last. She took no sass and was sure to be bluntly honest. Her personality and sense of humor were definitely known to be one of a kind.
Linda is survived by her sisters, Peggy Wamsley, Port Clinton, OH and Sharon Teresi, Marblehead, OH; grandchildren, Courtney and Brandon Gill both of Port Clinton, OH, Matthew, Nicholas, Chelsea and Christopher Wickline, all of Fremont, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Murr; daughter, Mary Lynn Wickline and sister, Janice Holt.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will take place on her birthday, Monday, February 15, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Copper Penny, 502 E. State St., Fremont, OH
