Virginia “Miña” Valle, 94, of Fremont, Ohio passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born on December 29, 1926 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of José Miguel and Clotilde (Reverol) Soler. Miña always reached out generously to her family members and friends, young and old, and she beamed with pride being with, or seeing pictures of, her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Society, Altar Rosary Society, and the St. Joseph Blessed Sacrament Confraternity. Virginia worked at Vogel’s Candy in Sandusky, Ohio, and then in the linen department at Troy Model Laundry in Fremont for many years.
Virginia is survived by her children, Henry (Sue) Valle, Perrysburg, Ohio; Samuel Valle, Parkton, North Carolina; Jim (Susan) Valle, Tazewell, Tennessee; and Robert Valle and David Anderson, Forest Park, Illinois; brother, Juan “Nito” Soler, Bronx, NewYork; sisters, Margot Soler, Bronx, New York; Adela Reyes, Fremont, Ohio; Alicia Gonzales, Fremont, Ohio; and Iris Santana, Rochester, New York; eight grandchildren (Ryan, Meghan, and Austin Valle; Jim, Kyle, and Stacy Valle; Sam Valle and Karen Klock Gaddy) and twelve great grandchildren (Rafferty, Grey, and Holden Valle; Charles Klock, Jeffrey Gaddy, and Grace Klock; Luna Rae, Gabriella, and Lorenzo Valle; Neveah, Jasmine, and Zoey Valle).
Miña also held a special bond with two of her nieces, Mary Fernandez and Sylvia Hernandez, considering them as daughters in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Maria Curbelo de Soler; granddaughter, Chelsey Erin Valle; daughter-in-law, Ann Valle; sisters, Maria Soler de Hernandez, Maria Senin Fernandez, Tonia Gonzales, and Nelida Escoriaza.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At 8:00 p.m., the family invites everyone who is able to join them for a bilingual rosary led by the Guadalupe Society. For those unable to come on Wednesday, visitation will also take place on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The visitation will be at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 East State St., Fremont, Ohio.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, August 19, 2021; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, Ohio.
