Virginia L. Young, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away on February 14, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 17, 1929 to Harry and Juanita (Wilson) Sorg. She was a 1947 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Virginia married Norman C. Young on May 31, 1947 in Maysville, KY and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Fremont, OH. She loved to attend Fremont Ross High School football games and to spend time with her grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her children, Nancy Sheets, Fremont, Barbara Black, Gibsonburg, Robin (Melinda) Young, Clyde, Steven (Pamela) Young, Tiffin and Kathy (Richard) Roob, Fremont; brother, Russell Sorg; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman C. Young; daughter, Tammy Druckenmiller; siblings, Jack Sorg, Marian Flickinger and Richard Sorg.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 18, 2014; 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside Service: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
