Viola M. Axe

Viola M. Axe, 94, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Elmwood Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing of Fremont. She was born August 16, 1924 in Fremont, the daughter of Clark E. and Dorothy M. (Karr) Payne.

Viola married Albert A. Axe on August 8, 1943 at Grace Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Viola was a Campfire Leader for many years and was a huge collector of teddy bears, all shapes and sizes. She loved to read and travel all around the country.

Viola is survived by her children, Donna J. (Edward) Brunner, Davenport, IA and James A. (Margaret) Axe, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Scott and Jamie Axe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert A. Axe; son, Donald A. Axe; brothers Dick and Earl Payne.

Visitation and Services were private for the family.

Burial took place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
