Timothy J. Shanahan, 75, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home with his wife by his side on Saturday, April 21, 2018. He was born on May 29, 1942 in Fremont to George and Bernice (Druckenmiller) Shanahan. He was a 1960 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Timothy served in the U.S. Marine Corps from October 6, 1960 to October 5, 1964 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Marksmanship Badge (M-14 rifle). He married Joan E. Smith on February 13, 1965 in Helena, OH and she survives.
Timothy was a carpenter and owned and operated his own business for many years. H enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and canning. He was an avid OSU and NASCAR fan. He loved his dog Bella.
Timothy is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Joan E. Shanahan; siblings, Sharon Frantz, Terry (Shirley) Shanahan, Kathleen Smith and Peggy Norton, all of Fremont, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ronald, George and Michael Shanahan and Betsy Reineck.
There will be no services.
