Thomas F. Wolf

Thomas F. Wolf, 96, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 12, 1928 in Fremont, OH to Ollie and Irene (Burling) Wolf. Tom served in the US Airforce from 1948 to 1952 where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant.

Tom married Marlene Smith on June 5, 1952 at St. Joseph Church and she survives. He worked for the family business at Wolf Produce for many years and he then went on to work for Ford Motor Company, retiring as an Inspector after twenty-eight years of service in 1990. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Fremont Moose Lodge where he was a former governor, the Eagles, American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed reading, playing poker and pinochle, going to garage sales, organizing bus trips to various casinos, supporting the Fremont Food Pantry but most of all, he loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Tom was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. 

Tom is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Marlene Wolf; children, Michael Wolf, Martha “Marty” Zamora, Ronald (Jodi) Wolf, all of Fremont, OH; sister, Audre Steck, Midland, MI; grandchildren, Rachel Zamora, Jennifer Zamora, Logan (Tori) Wolf, Collin (Bryleigh) Wolf, Tyler Wolf, Amethyst (Joe) DiModica, Andrew Wolf and fifteen great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Rita Gabel, John Wolf, Norma Walker, James Wolf; daughter-in-law, Pamela (Parker) Wolf and son-in-law, Albert Zamora.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am following the visitation at the church with Fr. Matt Frisbee officiating. 

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion and VFW at a later date.
