Thomas E. Wagner
Thomas E. Wagner, 83, of Fremont, OH, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Toledo, OH to Emanual and Caroline (Zenher) Wagner.
Tom married Mary Ann Held on May 5, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2014. He worked for the Fremont Foundry and then for Ohio Outdoor Advertising, retiring in 1997. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a past member of the Fremont Moose Lodge and the Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, playing cards, the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, cutting down trees and splitting wood in his younger years.
Tom is survived by his children, Rebecca (William) Cornell, Green Springs, OH, Robin Moll, Scott T. Wagner both of Fremont, OH, and Eric T. Wagner, Kansas, OH, Timothy P. (Melissa) Wagner, Old Fort, OH; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Wagner; siblings, Nicholas, William, John, Charles, Vincent, Paul, Donald, Albert, Gilbert, Sr. Mary Margaret and an infant sister.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m.at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil at 6:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, January 27, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery
Memorials: St. Joseph Catholic Church or Hospice of Promedica Memorial Hospital.
