Teresita Cruz Garcia

Teresita Cruz Garcia, 80, of Green Springs, OH passed away on September 18, 2022 at Bellevue Care Center with her family by her side.  She was born on May 3, 1942 in Cotulla, TX the daughter of Graviel and Elena (Salazar) Alafita.  She was a 1961 graduate of Green Springs High School.  Terry married Ernesto D. Garcia on July 13, 1961 in Monroe, MI and he survives.

Terry was employed at Progress/Revere Plastics for many years until she retired.  She enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was also an avid Ohio State Fan.

Terry is survived by her husband, Ernesto Garcia, Green Springs; children, Mary (Keith) Hackenburg, Castalia, Jerry “Roy” (Brenda) Garcia, Clyde and Kenny “Lou” (Joy) Garcia, Green Springs; siblings, Gabriel Alafita, Green Springs, Gloria (Rich) Montalvo, Corpus Christi, TX and Randy (Chris) Alafita, Clyde; grandchildren, Kyle (Rachael) Hackenburg, Ryan (Amanda) Hackenburg, Jessica (Andrew) Sereda, Jessica Wetzel, Jacob Level, Jeremy Garcia, Justin Level, Tyler (Janelle) Tea, Alexis (Marcus) Gonya and Isaac Garcia; fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Alafita and granddaughter, Alicia Garcia.

Visitation: Thursday, September, 22, 2022 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 211 N Broadway St., Green Springs, OH.

Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Bakertown Cemetery, Green Creek Township.

Memorials can be made to the family or Humane Society of Sandusky County.
