Steven Michael Kotch

Steven Michael Kotch, 71, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Valley View Health Campus.  He was born on July 27, 1951 in Fremont to Casimir “Casey” M. and Margaret “Dickey” A. (Basch) Kotch.  He was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended the University of New Mexico.  Steve served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sgt, from December 1, 1971 to October 1, 1979, and was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon; Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 1/OLC.  After his military service he went to work in the maintenance department at Owens Corning where he retired after many years of service.  Steve loved electronics and enjoyed building radios.  He also enjoyed building models.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Tanya (Todd) Kotch Miller, Marion, OH and Jennifer (Shedrick Abercrombie) Kotch, San Diego, CA; siblings, Larry (Mary) Kotch, Timothy (Rikki) Kotch, Richard Kotch and Lisa (Bruce) Esparza, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Christopher Kotch, Shane Miller, Shannon Miller, Shawn Miller, Maya Pratt, Ian Pratt, TJ Miller, Timmy Miller, Mikayla Miller and Joey Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve’s wish was to have no services.

Memorials can be made in Steve’s honor to Humane Society of Sandusky County.
