Sophie Lester

Sophie Lester, 82. of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on Saturday, August 27, 2022.  She was born on February 28, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Peter and Vilma (Kovach) Tulock.   Sophie married Arthur Lester on May 9, 1961 in Pikeville, KY and he survives.  She was a homemaker and a member of Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde, OH.  Sophie enjoyed a family trip to Virginia Beach with her son and husband.  She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Sophie is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Arthur Lester, Fremont, OH; children, Brenda S. (Jose) Martinez, Fremont, OH, Arthur (Tami) Lester, Jr., Clyde, OH, Kathy  (Gary) Winters, Oak Harbor, OH; sister, Mary Lou Abbott, Hampton, GA; grandchildren, Brad (Amanda), Brandy, Jeremy (Laura), Shaun, Matthew and Stephanie and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald Lee Tulock and Robert Tulock; sisters, Helen D. Atchley and Rose A. Sarvas.

Visitation:  Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 10 am to 1 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial:  Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Harvest Baptist Temple or Humane Society of Sandusky County.
