Sandra “Sandy” L. Slane

Sandra “Sandy” L. Slane, 68, of Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1946 in Fremont, the daughter of Robert and Beatrice (Reed) Stull.

Sandy married Ronald E. Slane, Sr., on June 29, 1963 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on January17, 1992. She worked for Quikut and LOF Plastics and retired in 1984. Sandy enjoyed playing bingo and computer games, fishing and puzzle books.

Sandy is survived by her children, Tammy (Ron King) Webb-Slane, Attica, OH, Terri (Danny Messer) Slane, Genoa, OH, Peggy (Richard Smith) Slane and Darla (Luis Patino, Sr.) Slane both of Fremont, OH; siblings, Margaret McCoy and Richard (Carrie) Stull both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Skeels, Eddie (Brooke) Webb, Kristi (Jeff) Slane, Anthony Slane, Joseph (Stacey) Slane, Ryan (Brittany) Slane, Josh Englehart, Tasha Bowers; fourteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and special dog, Odie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald E. Slane, Sr.; son, Ronald E. Slane, Jr.; sisters, Martha McCoy, Karen Rhoades and Cathy Sorg.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
