Roy L. Davisson

Roy L. Davisson, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.  He was born on June 12, 1943 in Lima, OH, the son of Roy S. and Lena M. (Focht) Davisson.  He was a 1961 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.  Roy married Janice Gierhart on March 16, 1963 in Monroe, MI.  He was an electrical engineer at Whirlpool Corporation for forty-five years until he retired.  He also worked at Lowes and the Rural King gun barn.

Roy was a member of the Isaac Walton League, the Sandusky County Sportsman Club and the Tiffin Ohio Radio Control Modelers.  He enjoyed hunting, competitive shooting, remodeling his home and building.  Roy also enjoyed nature, wildlife and traveling.  He loved football, especially Ohio State, also NASCAR and the Kentucky Derby.  But most of all he trusted in the Lord Jesus and only Him as his Savior.

Roy is survived by his wife of almost fifty nine years, Janice Davisson, Fremont, OH; children, Julie Davisson, Fremont, OH and Brian (Jackie) Davisson, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Nathan and Abigail Davisson, Hannah (Joel) Gaultieri; great-grandchildren, Joey and Landyn Davisson, Caleb, Gideon and Luke Gaultieri; siblings, Douglas (Mary) Davisson, Perrysburg, OH, Nikki Davisson, Helena, OH, Sidney Davisson and Amber (Rick) Hults both of Fremont, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services were held for the family.
