Ronald P. Faist

Ronald P. Faist, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away at ProMedica Memorial Hospital on January 16, 2023.  Ron was born on February 27, 1945 to Carl and Lucille (Nickel) Faist.  He was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph High School.  Ron served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star, The Republic of Vietnam Commendation Medal and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.  He was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for 31 years and retired in 2004.  Ron enjoyed fishing, bowling and detailing cars and working at Thornwood Golf Course in Fremont.

Ron is survived by his children; Leezette (Dave) Littell, Akron, Tonya (Chad) Samson, Fremont, OH, grandchildren, Miranda (Andrew) Banda, Cheyenne Samson; siblings; Dick (Kathy) Faist, Toledo, OH, Carol (Phil) Trick, Sherry Hintze and John Faist all of Fremont.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, T.J. Conrad

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:30 am at the funeral home.
