Robert Fredrick Selvey, 70, of Fremont, OH, formerly of Casper, WY, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 24, 1954 in Sandusky County to Robert E. and Wilma (Yontz) Selvey. Bob was a 1972 graduate of Bellevue High School.
Bob married Cindy (Cooper) Triplett on July 25, 2004 in Casper, WY and she survives. He owned and operated his own business and was also a heavy equipment mechanic in several western states. He was proud to help with the Alaskan Pipeline project. Bob enjoyed working on cars and fishing. He also enjoyed being with his grandson, Alex, whom he just adopted.
Bob is survived by his wife of twenty years, Cindy Selvey, Fremont, OH; children, Patty Uveges, of Arkansas, Reggie Selvey, of Missouri, Dewayne Nagel, Clyde, OH, Rebecca Triplett, Akron, OH, Alexander Selvey, Fremont, OH; siblings, Anita Selvey, Port Clinton, OH, Guy Selvey, of West Virginia, Bina (Mark) Peckham, Mount Cory, OH, Jeff Selvey, of Kentucky, Todd (Suzanne) Selvey, Bellevue, OH; grandchildren, Xavier Uveges, Zoe York, Eastyn Nagel, Jerico York, Ziva York and Stephen Youngs.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Bobby and Richard Selvey and sister, Tanya Biller.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 5480 County Rd. 177 Bellevue, OH 44811.
Another Celebration of Life will take place in Wyoming in August.
