Robert Norman Halbisen

Robert N. Halbisen, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont.  He was born September 29, 1937 in Clyde, OH to Rupert Bernard and Clara Magdalena (Shorts) Halbisen.   Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961.  He married Norma J. Greider on February 24, 1962 at St. Mary’s Church in Clyde and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2020.  He was a truck driver at Crown Battery for over forty years and retired in 2002.

Robert was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert Halbisen, Fremont, OH, William (Martina) Halbisen of Germany, Kevin Earl Halbisen, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Kevin Halbisen and Rebecca Halbisen; siblings, Rupert Halbisen, Karen (Earl) Wammes, Mary Ann (Bill) Wensinger, Margaret Heishman and Doris Seaman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma J. Halbisen; granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Halbisen; siblings, Bernard Halbisen, Merlin Halbisen, Neil Halbisen, Rodger Halbisen, Dale Halbisen, Buehla Horn, Lavina Gable, Jeanne Herman and Alice Halbisen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for both Robert and Norma on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church.

Burial to follow mass at St Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors for Robert provided by the VFW and American Legion.

Memorials can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church.
