Robert J. King, 57, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 18, 2021 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born on May 10, 1964 in Meriden, CT the son of Earl and Patricia (Fuller) King. Bob was a 1983 graduate of Danbury High School and received degrees in Mechanical and Process Engineering from Terra State Community College.
Bob worked as an engineer at Fremont Plastics for thirty-four years until they closed. He then went to work for AMCOR in Bellevue, OH. He served on the Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-two years and was the Assistant Chief for years. Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Michigan fan. He enjoyed camping, cookouts and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his significant other, Sue Fisher, Fremont; children, Brenda (Jeremy Frisch) King, Forest, OH, Bradlee (Haley Arbogast) King, Sr, Bellevue, OH; siblings, Robin (Kal) Kemp, Paradise, MI and Kym (Bradley Perkins) King, Elyria, OH; grandchildren, Charlotte Priddy, Elijah Bagley, Brooklyn Kaufman, Bradlee King, Jr, Easton Kaufman, Wyatt King, Olivia Kaufman and Emmalynn King; step-children, Missi Cunningham, Jason (Jenn Adams) Meyer, Heather (Tony) Shull, Jamie (Jake) Belcher and Ashley Fisher; step-grandchildren, Kimmi, Dylan, Davin, Hailey, Jacob, Joshua, Tucker, Caleb, Tyler, Annabelle and Malachi; nieces and nephews, Jeryn, Khilyn, Brandyn and Drew.
He is preceded in death by his parents and step-grandson, Austin.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 23, 2021; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Miller officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
Memorials: Old Fort V.F.D. or Lakeside V.F.D.
