Robert C. Weng

Robert C. Weng, 65, formerly of Green Springs, OH passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Ruffing Family Care Center in Tiffin, OH. He was born on July 8, 1950 in Sandusky, OH, the son of Paul C. Weng Sr. and Margaret (Felter) Robinson. He was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Sharpshooter (Rifle) Badge and Good Conduct Medal.

Robert married Helen Faye Shaffer on August 17, 1968 at Fremont Baptist Temple and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2009.

Robert was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple and enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Ray (Marshell) Weng, Kansas, OH, Paul C. Weng, Jr. and Wendy (Art) Bubb both of Toledo, OH, John Weng of Oklahoma, Nora Ferree and Lee (Jenny) Weng both of Marion, OH, Robert (Belinda) Clem and Richard Clem both of Port Clinton, OH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Faye Weng and his grandparents.

Visitation: Friday from 4 pm –7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Friday, November 6, 2015, 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Click officiating.

Burial will be private for the family.
