Rita Mae Spieldenner

Rita Mae Spieldenner, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo.  She was born on February 17, 1946 in Fremont to Denver and Viola (Gutschalk) Vroman.  She was a 1964 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.  Rita married Joseph F. Spieldenner on February 15, 1969 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2020.

Rita was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Fremont Eagles. Rita enjoyed playing Bunco, dining out and spending time with family and friends.

Rita is survived by her children, Stephen Spieldenner, Lima, OH and Christina Harnisch, Westland, MI; grandchildren, Jerrod (Adriana) Harnisch, Victor Spieldenner, Logan and Lyndsey Harnisch, Helen Doepgen; great-grandchildren, Ryan Harnisch, Dylon Brandel and Mason Harnisch; sister, Rosemary Bishop, Tiffin, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph F. Spieldenner and brother, Ken Vroman.

Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A Memorial Service will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Tim Walters officiating.
