Richard "Dick" R. Foster

Richard “Dick” R. Foster, 91, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Monday, February 19, 2024. Dick was born on May 23, 1932, to John and Lola Marabelle (Cypher) Foster in Fremont, OH. Dick was a 1950 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He married Beverly Hoshal in 1954 and she survives. 

Dick worked at Whirlpool where he retired as a Physical Distribution Manager after 36 years in 1992. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose and Clyde VFW. Dick enjoyed boating, traveling to Florida in the winter, motorcycles and camping. He loved his dog, Casey.

Dick is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Beverly Foster, children; Rick Foster, Fremont, OH, Teri (Mark Feigenbaum) Smith, Toledo, OH, Lon (Joni King) Foster, Perrysburg, OH, Jon (Elizabeth Hoyt) Foster, Fremont, OH, grandchildren; Carey Foster, Jennifer (Corey) Williams, Janette (Nathan Haye) Smith, Kourtni (Jason) Pratt, and eight great-grandchildren and sister; Janice Thaler, Gallipolis, OH.

He is preceded in death by his son; Michael Ray Foster and brother; William “Jack” Foster.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10 -11 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420

Services will take place following visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Four Mile House Cemetery.
