Richard C. Zweifel
Richard V. Zweifel, 84, of CR 128, Fremont, OH passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1928 in Rollersville, OH, the son of Vernon and Bertha (Shaw) Zweifel.
Richard joined the U.S. Merchant Marines and served in the Great Lakes. He married Elizabeth “Betty” I. Brininger on September 13, 1947 in Covington, KY and she preceded him in death on April 22, 1990.
Richard worked as a Lead Millwright at Brush Wellman Co. He retired in August of 1990 after many years of service. He was a member of the Fremont Eagles, Moose and VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working around his house, bowling, playing cards and watching sports.
Richard is survived by his children, Sharon (David) Fetterman, Fremont, OH, Vernon Zweifel, Green Springs, OH; siblings, Harold (Violet) Zweifel, Columbus, OH, Howard (Wilma) Zweifel, Sylvania, OH and Marcine Bloom, Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Brian and Tod Baxter, Jennifer Topel, Theodore and Thaddius Zweifel; great grandchildren, Tana Baxter, Taylor Topel, Anthony Baxter, Lilly, Bella and Zane Zweifel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth; son Theodore Zweifel; siblings, Leta, Edith, Bertha, Dollie, Alfred and Glenwood.
