Raymond Edward Strait, Jr.

Raymond Edward Strait, Jr., 52, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital.  He was born November 11, 1967 in Fremont to Raymond Sr. and Mary (Dickman) Strait.  He was a 1986 graduate of Clyde High School.

Ray was currently working at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde.  He was a materials handler and started there in 1986.  He enjoyed collecting coins and dollars, WWII History, bowling and golfing.

Ray is survived by his son, Garrett Strait, Green Springs, OH; daughter, Kelsey Iler, Fremont, OH; mother, Mary Strait, Clyde, OH; sister, Michelle (Alan) Hill, Green Springs, OH; aunts, Eleanor Lee, Clyde, OH, Norma Dickman, Green Springs, OH, Irene (Duane) Corfman, Goldie Strait, all of Upper Sandusky, OH, Dodie Strait, Bloomville, OH; uncles, Joseph (Dena) Strait, Green Springs, OH, Clarence (Jan) Strait, Tiffin, OH and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Jessie and Silas Strait, Walter “Bill” and Evelyn Dickman; uncle, Earlie Lee, Jack Dickman, Bennett Strait, Orville Strait and Leonard Strait.

Visitation:  Thursday from 2 – 8 pm at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 211 N. Broadway St, Green Springs, OH.

Services:  Friday, February 14, 2020, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Wheeler officiating.

Burial:  Green Springs Cemetery
