Raymond E. Strait, Sr.

Raymond E. Strait, Sr., 75, of Clyde, OH passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019 at The Willows at Bellevue. He was born August 3, 1943 in Johnstown, PA to Silas and Jessie (McKinney) Strait. He was a 1961 graduate of Old Fort High School.

Ray served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Mary Dickman on March 17, 1967 in Monroe, MI and she survives.

Ray worked for the Village of Green Springs in the water and street department for over twenty years and retired in 2008. He was a member of the Green Springs American Legion and VFW.

Ray is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Mary Strait; Clyde, OH; children, Raymond E. Strait, Jr. and Michelle (Alan) Hill both of Green Springs, OH; sister, Irene (Duane) Corfman, Sycamore, OH, brothers, Joseph (Dena) Strait, Green Springs, OH and Clarence Strait, McCutchinsville, OH; sisters-in-law, Goldie Strait, Sycamore, OH and Dodi Strait, Bloomville, OH; grandchildren, Garrett Strait, Bradley (Kristen) Brininger, Dylan Hill, Josh Hill, Jason (Jami) Hill and Jessi Hill; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bennett, Orville and Leonard Strait.

A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 11:00 am at Green Springs Cemetery in Green Springs, OH, with Military Honors provided by the Seneca County Veterans Council
