Randall H. Koebel, 76, of Fremont, OH passed away on September 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 23, 1947 in Fremont, OH the son of Howard and Patricia (Forsythe) Koebel. He was a 1966 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Randy proudly served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Marksmanship M14, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Oak Leaves/Stars.
Randy married Judith A. Reineck on September 8, 1978 in Fremont, OH and she survives. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fremont V.F.W. and American Legion. Randy enjoyed reading, boating, traveling and was a self-proclaimed historian and would voice his distaste in the error and fallacy in almost every historical fiction film. To know Randy was to love him; a loyal and concise friend, a devoted father to his daughters, and a hopeless romantic to his wife. Randy had an unexplainable and unbreakable bond with his granddaughter Sienna Lee, they spent countless hours browsing the library, shopping and running errands. He happily welcomed his grandson, Lau, into the family and relished having a boy in the family.
Randy is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Judith Koebel; daughters, Melissa Koebel and Lauren (Laurence III) Harkness; grandchildren, Sienna Koebel and Laurence Harkness IV all of Fremont; siblings, Gary (Julie) Koebel, Defiance, OH, Rick (Madelyn) Koebel, Colorado Springs, CO and Kelly (Chris) Jones, Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Randall Koebel, and father and mother-in-law, Barney and Rody Reineck.
