Ralph E. Davidson, Sr. “Sam”

Ralph E. “Sam” Davidson, Sr., 78, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in the Emergency Room at Toledo Hospital. He was born July 3, 1940 in Green Spring, WV, the son of Alston and Della Davidson.

Sam worked as a foreman and supervisor at Ludlow Composites. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, football and hockey. He enjoyed being a handy man and helping other people.

Sam is survived by his companion of over twenty-one years, Sophie McCloy, Fremont, OH; children, Jeannie (Randy) Cogar, Fremont, OH, Ralph (Robin) Davidson, Jr., Gibsonburg, OH, Alston (Mary) Davidson Sr., Wausau, WI, David (Tracy) Davidson, Fremont, OH; brother, James “Tom” Davidson, Fremont; sister, Sneezy Davidson. Florida; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Friday, August 31, 2018; 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
