Quillie Wilson Heidelburg 85 of Fremont, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on June 7, 2021. Quillie was born February 5, 1936, in Paulding Jasper County Mississippi., The son of Hardy and Minnie Lee (Lindsey) Heidelburg. Quillie married Louise (Jones) Heidelburg March 3, 1957, together they raised 5 daughters.
He moved to Fremont, Ohio in 1959 where he did numerous jobs before getting hired at Fremont Kelsey Hayes Company August 13, 1965, as a machine operator until he retired December 20,1996 after the closing of the company. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union. Once retired he started his own lawn care business. He was a diligent hard worker throughout his life!
Quillie was a church member of Greater St. James Church, where he served faithfully on the Deacon board, Usher board, and was a member of the choir. He enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir, spending time with his family and was a former foster parent. Quillie enjoyed cooking, gardening, any type of yard work, fishing, and detailing cars. He was an all-around handy man tried to fix it all. He loved the Lord, but God loved him more and called him home to his eternal resting place. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten.

Louise Heidelburg, daughters: Sandra (Chris) Bivins, Sandusky, OH., Gloria (Troy) Logan, Fremont, OH, Brenda (Terry) Hicks, Dayton, OH, Tiffany (Richard) Miller, Toledo, OH.; grandchildren, Brandon Weatherspoon, San Antonio, TX, Bren’tel (Janelle) Weatherspoon, Toledo, OH, Clarissa Logan, Fremont, OH, Tashlai (Calvin) Burney, Toledo, OH, Pierre Johnson, Dayton, OH, Victoria Logan, Toledo, OH, Shanice Lee, Dayton OH, Gerrel (Ayanna) Flowers, San Antonio TX, Javon Johnson, Dayton OH and 14 great grandchildren; brothers, JC Heidelburg, Fremont, OH, Leroy Heidelburg, Cincinnati, OH., sister: Annie Adams, Columbus, OH., Godsons, Timothy Tate Jr., and Frankie Cole, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and friends.
Quillie was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Minnie Lee Heidelburg Daughter, Stephanie Williams Heidelburg; Sisters, Annie Jones, Christina Heidelburg, Dora Heidelburg, and Pearlie Heidelburg; Brothers, Tommy J. Heidelburg, Robert (RC) Heidelburg, Hardy Heidelburg Jr., James William Heidelburg, and an infant brother.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Greater St. James Church, 629 Sixth St., Fremont, OH.
Service will begin at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Todd Chance and Bishop Pat McKinstry officiating.
The use of face masks are required.
