Quillen I. Homler, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. He was born December 2, 1930 in Risingsun, OH, the son of Alfred L. and Geneva P. (Stewart) Homler.
Quilly worked at the Fremont Kraut Company and retired in 1993 after many years of service. He was a member of Fremont Bible Baptist Temple and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle, old county music and collecting aluminum cans.
Quilly is survived by his siblings, Shirley Weichman, Oak Harbor, OH, Blanche Hineline, Clyde, OH, Judy Cress, Fremont, OH, Kenneth Homler, Gibsonburg, OH; many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Phyllis Toth, Joyce Fisher, Norman, Clayton, Francis “Whitey”, Alfred “Junior”, Jr. and Ernest Homler and an infant brother Gilbert.
Graveside Services: Thursday, June 6, 2019; 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery,
Memorials: Bethesda Care Center or Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
