Philip J. Wojdyla

Philip J. Wojdyla, 71, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  He was born on September 8, 1952 in Fremont, OH to Roman and Ruth (Pump) Wojdyla.  Phil was a 1971 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Phil married Kris Bauer on January 8, 1982 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He worked for the Fremont Water Treatment Plant and retired as an assistant manager in 2010 after close to forty years of service.  Phil was a member of the Fremont Eagles and several hunting clubs.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, camping and being outdoors. He also enjoyed having various guns and tools but above all he enjoyed going to his grandchildren sporting events.   

Phil is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Kris Wojdyla, Fremont, OH; children, Bradley Fiske, Fremont, OH, Kira Pollock, Clyde, OH, Cody Wojdyla, and Kylie (DJ) Evans, both of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Dante, Nadia, Julian, Hunter, Wyatt, Kayl, Ellie and Indie; siblings, Nancy Etzwiler and Michael (Kim) Wojdyla, both of Fremont, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
