Paula S. Welty

Paula S. Welty, of Fremont, OH, who was twenty-nine and holding, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. She was born in Tiffin, OH, the daughter of Paul and Alberta (Scherly) Rumschlag. She was a graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School.

Paula married Russell Welty at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin and he survives. She was co-owner of Welty Financial Services. She was a member of St. Joseph Church but attended Sacred Heart Church.

Paula loved spending most of her time with her family. She enjoyed bike riding, gardening, cooking and cleaning.

Paula is survived by her husband of fifty years, Russell Welty; children, Scott Welty, Chris Welty and Danielle (Michael) Johnson, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Tom (Shirley) Rumschlag, Attica, OH, Mark (Vi) Rumschlag, Tiffin, OH and Dr. Mary Beth (Chuck) Wonderly, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Tori, Morgan, Dalton, John, Julia, Jenna and Jorydan; great granddaughter, Skylar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Marilyn Gillig and Gary Rumschlag.

Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, December 18, 2014, 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
