Paul J. Hoffman

Paul J. Hoffman, 89 of Fremont, OH passed away at Valley View on Monday, June 14, 2021 surround by his family. He was born on January 6, 1932 in Burgoon, OH to Frank and Agnes (Foos) Hoffman. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957. Paul married Betty Fox in 1958 and she survives. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He grew up farming then worked for the Fremont Vault Company and went on to work for Whirlpool for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed gardening, wood working and going to his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Betty Hoffman, Fremont, OH; children, Robert (Debora) Hoffman, Fremont, OH, Peggy Fowler, Cleveland, OH, Roger (Mary) Hoffman, Helena, OH, Norbert (Margot) Hoffman, Westerville, OH, Raymond Hoffman, Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Melanie, Scott (Hannah) Jessica, Adam (Brandy) Hoffman and Haley (Mike) Bochicchio; five great grandchildren; siblings, Emma Rose Jenkins, Fremont, OH, Carl (Mary Ellen) Hoffman, Burgoon, OH and Tom (Nancy) Hoffman, Helena, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Catherine Hoffman, Mary Eisenman, Herbert Hoffman and Dorothy Alt.

Family would like to thank the staff at Valley View, Dr. Johnathan Diller and Dr. Mary Wonderly for their care.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, June 18, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion and VFW.

Memorials can be made in his honor to Sacred Heart Church.
