Patty L. McCormack

Patty “Stell” L. McCormack, 95, of Fremont, OH passed away on July 28, 2024 surrounded by her family at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. Patty was born on December 9, 1928 to Verlin and Beulah (Wetzel) Wolf in Fremont. Patty was a 1946 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She married Owen “Russ” McCormack on August 22, 1947 in Fremont and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2016 after sixty-nine great years. 

Patty was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She attended many sporting events supporting her grandchildren. She was a member of the Firebells and volunteered her time at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was well known for her large candy dish that everyone loved.

Patty is survived by her children, Dennis (Linda) McCormack, Cannon City, CO, Vickie L. McCormack, Becky (Steve) Shively, Jeff (Marie) McCormack all of Fremont, OH and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russ McCormack; siblings, Peggy Heilman and Terry Wolf.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andrea Thurston officiating.

Burial will follow at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Stein Hospice and Bellevue for their exceptional care during this time.
