Patrick “Pat” J. Shanahan

Patrick “Pat” J. Shanahan, 75, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Thursday, August 14, 2014. He was born August 13, 1939 in Fremont, the son of Robert A. and Irene E. (Druckenmiller) Shananan. He was a 1957 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Pat married Judy A. Cook in 1958 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Fremont and she survives. He was an Engineer at Toledo Edison for thirty-eight years and retired at the age of fifty-two.

Pat was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a retired Loyal Order of Moose Administrator. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, woodworking and helping his grandchildren. Pat was a loving father, grandfather and was proud of his family.

Pat is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Judy A. Shanahan, Fremont, OH; children, Debora Hirt (Ed Fitzgerald), Put-N-Bay, OH, Jeffrey (Glenda) Shanahan, Robert (Jodi) Shanahan and Patrick (Sara) Shanahan, all of Fremont, OH; sister, Carolyn Michael, Fremont, OH; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
