Pamela K. Hite

Pamela K. Hite, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Elmwood Nursing Center.  She was born on May 9, 1939 in Fremont to Jesse Lawrence and Lucille (Barbour) Goff.  Pamela was a 1957 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Pamela married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Hite on July 4, 1959 in Fremont, OH and he preceded her on December 15, 2011.  Pamela was a homemaker to a wonderful family where she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren; David, Nathan, Craig and Scott, who were the lights of her life. Tom and Pam enjoyed camping, traveling and playing cards. She and Tom were supporters of Rutherford B. Hayes Center and were members of the St. Ann Catholic Church.

Pamela is survived by her daughters, Melinda (Lindsay) Diaz, Pembroke Pines, FL and Betsy (Jeff) Lamson, Fremont, OH; four grandchildren, David (Casey) Cook, Caledonia, MS, Nathan (Renee) Cook, St. Augustine, FL, Craig (McKenzie) Lamson, Perrysburg, OH and Scott Lamson, Fremont, OH and seven great grandchildren, Gavin, Bryce, Micah, Matthew, Vera, Theo and Haven.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420

A service will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made in Pamela’s honor to Parkinson’s Foundation, American Cancer Society or Donor’s Choice.
