Norma Jane Ackerman

Norma Jane Ackerman, 93, of Fremont, OH passed away on November 17, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living in Fremont, OH. She was born on October 6, 1924 in Fremont, OH the daughter of the late William and Estella (Bundschuh) Ackerman. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Joseph High School.

Norma worked at Union Carbide for of forty-two years. six months and twenty-eight days until she retired. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Confraternity. She loved gardening, crocheting, canning and making Christmas cookies and candy.

Norma is survived by her brothers, Paul Ackerman, Genoa, OH and Robert Ackerman, Fremont and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, John, Thomas, James, Rita, Mary and Roseline Ackerman, Eva Eberly and Hildegarde Dempsey.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, November 22, 2017; 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH with a visitation one hour prior to mass at the church. Fr. Nathan Bockrath will officiate.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
