Norma J. Frey, 79, of CR 212, Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on October 26, 1933 in Fremont, the daughter of Russell and Helen (Wainement) Homler.
Norma married Darl E. Frey, Sr. on January 11, 1969 in Fremont and he survives. She was a Homemaker. Norma and her husband Darl also owned and operated the Broken Paddle Camp Grounds in Fremont for ten years until they retired. She was a Life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos and flea markets, cooking and baking.
Norma is survived by her husband, Darl E. Frey, Sr., Fremont, OH; children, Tonya (Jason Whaley) Frey, Darl (Amy) Frey, Jr., both of Fremont, OH; siblings, Ethel Kirsch, Barb Estep, Donna Weiker, all of Fremont, OH Beverly Fox, Jackson, OH; grandchildren, Natashia Bennett, Sandusky, OH, Bryce Bennett, Fremont, OH, Andrea and Eric Frey both of New York, Gabe and Olivia Jackson, Emma Frey, all of Fremont, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles “Baldy”, Lamar “Skip” and Jim Homler; sisters, Beulah Turner, Mildred Krassow and Bernie Swenty.
