Nancy F. Rathfelder
Nancy F. Rathfelder, 70, of Fremont, OH, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. She was born August 22, 1942 in Fremont to Elmer and Ruth (Heishman) Metz. She was a 1962 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Nancy married Daniel Welsch and he preceded her in death in 1998. She married George Rathfelder on August 24, 1990 in Angola, IN and he survives.
Nancy worked as a Production Machinist at Atlas Industries, Inc. for twenty-eight years and retired in 2002. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Clyde VFW Aux and the Fremont American Legion Aux. She enjoyed cooking, camping and watching TV. She loved her animals.
Nancy is survived by her husband, George Rathfelder, Fremont, OH; children, Patricia S. Welsch, Vickery, OH, Sharon K. Shank and Michelle L. Welsch both of Clyde, OH, Daniel L. (Tonya) Welsch, Akron, OH, Mary Jo Welsch, Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren, Mike (April) Mitten, Chuck (Bridget) Coleman, Terry D. Welsch, Jennifer Coleman, Nikki Desrosiers, Tiffany (Dan) Simon, Ashley Coleman, Christopher Salyer, Taylor Issac, Kelsey Salyer and Derek Desrosiers; fourteen great grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Daniel Welsch and brother, James N. Snodgrass
Visitation: Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH with a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m.
Service: Saturday, June 8, 2013; 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
