Minnie Mae Wetzel, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on July 18, 2023. She was born on December 6, 1935 in Radcliff, OH the daughter of Arnot J. and Eda Cordelia (Spires) Jeffers. Minnie married James L. Wetzel, Sr., on July 17, 1958 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2011. She was a 1954 graduate of Wilton High School in Wilkesville, OH. Minnie was a homemaker and enjoyed country music dances, word find puzzles and adult coloring. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Minnie is survived by her children, Cheryl (Joseph) Denny, Findlay, Carl (Jan) Wetzel, Toledo, Dale (Joseph Long) Wetzel, Clyde and Angela (Mindy Peiffer) Wetzel, Fostoria; sister-in-law, Diana (Mick) Picciuto; grandchildren, Jamey (Renee) Moreno, Shannon (Lupe) Gonzalez, Chad (April) Moreno, Nachole (JD) Wetzel, Laura Wetzel, Cody (Alysha) Wetzel, Joshua Wetzel, Amber (Brock) Davis, Erica Slaughter, John Stevenson, Miranda (Jack) Stevenson, Amber Stevenson, Cory (Sally) Wetzel, Troy (Lindsey) Wetzel, Breanna (Tyler) Ohlemacher, Ashli (Scottie) Lemaitre and Brittany Edwards; thirty-eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James L. Wetzel, Jr.; siblings, Juanita Burns and Robert Jeffers and daughter-in-law, Lisa Wetzel.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 10 to 12 p.m. with a funeral ceremony to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH
