Mildred (Millie) Boucher, 92, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Green Springs. She was born on December 12, 1922 in Bellevue, OH, the daughter of Ray C. and Esther (White) Meyer. She was a 1940 graduate of York High School.
Mildred married Elbert (Al) Boucher on June 16, 1946 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2007. Mildred and Elbert had one son, Duane Boucher, who preceded his parents in death on October 16, 2003.
Mildred worked as a Postal Clerk at the Green Springs Post Office for 24 years retiring in 1975. She loved to quilt and sew, and loved to travel. She was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women Finger Pickers Quilt Guild.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Carol Simmons, Toledo, OH; daughter-in-law Kay Boucher, Mesa, AZ; grandson, Brian (Donna) Boucher, Amherst OH, great grandchildren: Evan, Grace, Claire, Nathaniel; granddaughter, Brenda (Adam) Houghton, Mesa, AZ, great grandchildren: Joshua (Joni), Katherine, Abby, and Lauren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elbert Boucher; son, Duane Boucher; sisters, Evelyn Lehnert, Helen Woessner, Dolores Fatzinger, Pauline Hammer, Beulah Gilbert, and Ruth Parsons; brother, Cletus D. Meyer.
Visitation: Tuesday from 10:00 am until Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Tuesday, May 26, 2015, Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Christine Tobergte officiating.
