Mickey Mantle Hardy, Sr.

Mickey “Mick” Mantle Hardy, Sr., 62, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023.  He was born on December 11, 1960 in Fremont to Augustus and Pearle (McDonald) Hardy.  Mick was formerly a carpet installer.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially on the water, drinking Budweiser, collecting eagles, following Jeff Gordon, going on rides, socializing but he most of all loved his family.

Mickey is survived by his children, Mickey Mantle David Hardy, Jr., Heather (Eric) Baker, Crystal Hardy, Anthony Cook, Megan (Chris) Bocanegra, Monique (Jason) Cook and Celeste; wife, Shelley (Cook) Hardy; brother, William (Lana) Hardy, Fremont, OH and eighteen grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James; siblings, Frederick Hardy, James Hardy, Marlene Snyder and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420.

The family has invited everyone to join them following the visitation at Tim’s Bar and Grill, 445 N Ohio Ave., Fremont, OH.

Memorials can be made to the funeral home to help family with expenses.
