Michael Milford Karr

Michael Milford Karr, 64, of Green Springs, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Toledo ProMedica Hospital.  He was born on August 6, 1958 in Fremont, OH to Larry Milford and Janette (Grove) Karr.  Mike was a 1977 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and then went on to serve in the US National Guard for six years.  Mike was a heavy equipment operator at Lafarge Marblehead and then became a truck driver for Style Crest for many years.  Mike loved driving his truck and never received a motor citation while he had his Class A.  Mike attended Grace Community Church and was a member of Company B 612th.  He enjoyed fishing and was proud to catch his first Bow Fin a few weeks ago.  Mike also enjoyed boating, going to the races, putting together model cars and boats, spending time with his dog and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter at the family cottage.

Mike is survived by his children, Shali (Frank) Cox, Green Springs, OH; Mikyle Milford (Nicole) Karr, Palm Harbor, FL; granddaughter, Allison Cox; mother, Janette Karr, Fremont, OH; brothers, Rodney (Sue) Karr, Fremont, OH, Jeffrey Karr, Big Pine, FL and former wife, Pam Ott, Fremont, OH.

He was preceded by his father, Larry Milford Karr; grandparents, Pete and Gladys Karr; and beloved dog, Dakota.

Visitation will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 10:00 am to Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

A Memorial Service will follow the visitation, beginning at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating.
