Michael Hessick, 69, and his beloved wife, Debra Ann Hessick, 66, of Fremont, OH, both passed away in the past year, leaving behind a legacy of family and cherished memories.
Michael passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born on June 13, 1955, to Robert Hessick and Wilma (Miller) Ginnever. Debra, who was born on November 2, 1957, to Raymond and Wanda (Segan) Lance in Fremont, OH, passed away on July 16, 2024, at Saint Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH, surrounded by family.
The couple was married on December 24, 1985, at their home in Fremont, and together they raised a family and shared a deep love for each other and their community.
Michael worked as a Laborer for various companies, including Trico, Plate Glass, Auto Zone, and Lowes. He was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Buckeyes, and Cleveland Indians, and he enjoyed sprint cars, crafts, and spending time with his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his siblings, Terry (Kay) Hessick and Tom Hessick, both of Tennessee; and his step-sister, Robin Good of Bellevue, OH.
Debra worked at Aeroquip Inoac for many years and later as a pharmacy tech at Drug Mart in Clyde. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. Debra loved crafting, baking, and most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her siblings, Mark and Brian Lance.
Together they are survived by their children, Corey (Sadie Turpening) Hessick and Toby Hessick, both of Fremont, OH and grandchildren, Kayla and Kolton Hessick.
Both Michael and Debra were preceded in death by their parents. Michael was also preceded by his brothers, Ronald and Kenny Hessick, Debra was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Thoedore and Frederick Lance.
A Celebration of Life for Michael and Debra will take place on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Vineyard Church, 2507 Hayes Ave, Fremont, OH 43420.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in their honor to the family.
