Martha “Marty” J. Zyski

Martha “Marty” Janette Zyski, 69, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home with her soulmate, Mark LeJeune, by her side on the evening of August 22, 2021.  She was born on February 8, 1952 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Ivan and Betty (Cottier) Zyski.  She was a 1970 graduate of Old Fort High School.  Marty was an esteemed retiree of Decko Products Inc. in Sandusky, OH,  where she made long lasting friendships with many co-workers, and was supported to the end by her employer, Bill Niggemyer, who she considered the greatest boss in the world. She loved going to work every day and stayed in contact with her work family after retirement.

One of her favorite memories was her retirement trip to Europe, where she visited many countries including England and France.  Her favorite stops on the trip were meeting Lady Carnarvon while exploring the Highclere Castle featured in Downton Abbey and visiting Paris in the springtime.  Marty loved making memories with her sisters at their family beach house every summer.  The love of laughter, family bonding and cherished memories on the water will always remain.  She enjoyed endless hours of playing with her grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.  Marty will always be remembered for her laid-back demeanor, friendly smile, adventurous spirit and loving personality.

Marty was adored by many, including her soulmate, Mark LeJeune, Fremont, OH, children: Peter (Brittney) LeJeune of Fremont, OH, Jamie (Ashley) LeJeune of Granville, OH, and Robbie (Alexis) LeJeune of Wooster, OH; grandchildren: Quinn, Kendall, Jayce, Jagger and Landon; siblings: Lyle Zyski of Old Fort, OH, Donald “Donnie” Zyski of Tucson, AZ, Nancy (Fredrick) Cleveland of Republic, OH, Edith (Craig) Stull of Lindsey, OH; nephews: James “Robbie” Zyski, Chris Cleveland, Ryan Fry, Corey and Casey Stull, Jake and Steven Zyski and niece: Carrie Meyer; and her partner in crime Dianna Frick.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E State St, Fremont, OH.  The Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 PM.

The family would like to thank the Sandusky County EMS and Fremont Police Department for their kindness and support in her final hour.  The family would also like to thank the nurses and doctors at The James Cancer Hospital.
