Mark A. Humberger, 68, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, OH. He was born February 12, 1950 in Fremont to Donald A. and Janice J. (Older) Humberger. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended Terra Community College.
Mark served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger during Vietnam from March 20, 1967 to May 8, 1970 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 60; Combat Infantryman Badge and Parachute Badge.
Mark married Theresa LaSalvia on September 15, 2007 at Grace Community Church, Fremont, OH and she survives.
Mark worked as press operator at Gerstenslager in Clyde, OH. He attended Grace Community Church and was a Life member of the Fremont VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and singing karaoke. Mark loved to watch baseball and go to baseball games. He also loved to work around his home and his two cats.
Mark is survived by his wife, Theresa Humberger, Fremont, OH; children, Chasity (Terry) Robertson, Dayton, OH, Mark A. Humberger II, Blue Ash, OH, Angela Sturges, Chandler, AZ, Bryan Stahl, Destin, FL, Michelle, Stahl, San Tan, AZ, siblings, Cheryl K. Lowe, Walbridge, OH, David A. Humberger, Fremont, OH, John E. Humberger, Fremont, OH, Jolene J. Humberger, Fremont, OH and Candi A. (Elmars) Spulgis, Columbus, OH; twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Craig Humberger and his grandparents.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 pm – 4 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH
Service: Monday, July 2, 2018, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer officiating and Military Honors provided by the American Legion and VFW to follow.
Burial: Gibsonburg Union Cemetery at a later date.
