Marilyn Ann (Hammer) Hamilton, 87, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Elmwood Communities of Fremont, surrounded by her children and family. She was born on January 6, 1935 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of Louis and Marcella (Snyder) Hammer. Marilyn married Bernard Joseph Hamilton, Sr. on July 24, 1954 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Gibsonburg, OH and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2011. Marilyn worked for Quick Cut, Singer Controls and then became dedicated to being a homemaker where she loved taking care of her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she was a founding member and sang in the choir. She was very artistic, enjoyed photography, flowers, sewing, scrapbooking, genealogy, and playing the piano.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard Joseph Hamilton Sr; daughter, Julie Ann Hamilton; sister, Rosalie Strable.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 11 am at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 beginning at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
