Marianne M. Bennison

Marianne M. Bennison, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Toledo ProMedica Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1935 in Fremont, OH to George and Helen (Parker) Ehrman. Marianne was a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School.

Marianne married Thomas L. Bennison on June 19, 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2024. She worked for H. J. Hienz Company for over thirty years and retired in 1996 as a quality control leader. Marianne was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she was in the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. 

Marianne is survived by her children, Carolyn (Dallas) Prater, Fostoria, OH, Ann Marie (Anthony) Darr, Fremont, OH, Thomas (Jeannine) Bennison Jr., Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Joel (Stacey) Prater, Dwain Prater, Thomas L. Bennison III (Rachel Patterson), Craig (Kim) Bennison, Kyle (Michelle) Dukeshire, Alexander Darr, Emileigh Darr and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Sr. Mary Helaine Ehrman S.N.D.; brother, George Ehrman. 

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm with a rosary prayer service beginning at 6:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1021 W. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery with a luncheon following at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
