Marguerite E. Gries

Marguerite E. Gries, 93, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Elmwood Assisted Living of Fremont. She was born in Clyde, OH to Chancy and Vida (Crum) Blodgett. She was a graduate of Clyde High School.

Marguerite married Donald James Gries on January 26, 1947 in Clyde, OH and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2015. Marguerite and Donald owned and operated the family farm. They enjoyed spending winters in Naples, FL.

The family would like to send out a “Thank You” to the staff at Elmwood and Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.

Marguerite is survived by her children, Donna (John) Supra, Charles (Peg) Gries both of Fremont, OH and Nancy (Jeff) Reinhart, Huron, OH; grandson, Adam Gries, Columbus, OH; sisters, Laura Joseph, Fremont, OH and Lucille Malone, Niles, MI; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald James Gries; siblings, Hazel Wadsworth, Ruth Haulker, Doris Tressler, Alton, Merle, Donald, Chancy Dale and Anna Blodgett.

Services were private for the family.
