Mae Louise Chapman

Mae Louise Chapman, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Country Side Continuing Care surrounded by her family. Mae was born on August 4, 1944 to Harold and Mary Ann (Wightman) Ruttschaw. She was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Mae married her first husband, Delman Werling who preceded in death and then she went on to marry Frank Chapman on January 1, 2002 at the Fremont Church of the Nazarene and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2017.

Mae was member of the Fremont Church of the Nazarene where she sang in the choir, worked at the church daycare and was part of the church bowling league. She enjoyed reading her bible and watching church services online.  

Mae is survived by her granddaughter, Rhonda (Mark) Wright, Fremont, OH, grandsons, Donald Chapman, Ronald (Angela) Chapman, all of Bellevue, OH; great granddaughters, Jamie Doss, Jodi Doss, Paige Wright, Shelby Chapman, Gabi Chapman; great grandson, Taylor Chapman; nieces, Brenda (Jerry) Davidson, Carol (Ben) Boltz, Viola Yates; nephews, Brian Lippert, Scott Lippert, Christopher Boltz many great nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, first and second husband; siblings, Harold Ruttschaw, Jack Ruttschaw, Edna Dhondt, Betty Boltz and Mary Lippert

Visitation will take place Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10 to 11 am at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will be held following the visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Vickey Officiating.  

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
